so much work

Like most jobs, my job is so much WORK! I’ve been spending 10 hours a day at school and coming home and doing more work. I can’t wait until all this beginning of the year stuff is done so I can focus on more important things, like my lesson plans!

I’ve met all of my students with the exception of one and they are all really adorable. It should be an interesting year!

Last night was the first preseason game for both my Vikings and Jeff’s Chiefs. The Vikings kicked some Chief butt but Jeff takes all the fun out of gloating saying, “It’s only preseason, it doesn’t matter.” I know the truth, the Vikings will have won against the Chiefs for the rest of the season, so HA.

Today I have to make my year-long plan and do a little bit of shopping. Jeff’s nephew is coming over and spending the night, so that should be fun. Then tomorrow I go to church for church and stay the rest of the day for the open house. The good thing? I will get more WORK done!

One of the schools I interviewed with called me and wanted to go further with interviewing. It’s nice to be wanted but it was even nicer to say, “Sorry! I already found a position that I am very happy with!” I can’t remember the last time in my life I have been this happy. Probably when Jeff and I got engaged, but that wore off in a few days. It is my hope that this will last a lifetime.
