wedding plans
Well, there are 380 some days left until our wedding. I think we have plenty of time to plan the details of the Big Day. So far we have booked• Reception Hall (Knights of Columbus)
• Church (My home church)
• Minister (my brother)
• Organist (My uncle)
• Flower Lady
• Cake Lady
• Photographer
Latest on the list of things that have been on my mind is the cake. We found the best, most affordable cake lady ever. Right now the plan is for white cake with cream cheese frosting and raspberry filling. I asked Jeff what he liked and he said he likes what I like. He’s definitely learning.
I’ve been saving poses of pictures that I like to share with my photographer. Our photographer is our age and is just starting out. There are drawbacks to having an inexperienced photographer, but I think there are lots of benefits as well. She’s inexpensive, does great work, its all digital- which Jeff LOVES, and is really willing to work with us on what we want. She doesn’t seem to be set in her ways.
I put a few wedding possibilities on my buzznet, check them out!!
I have taken a long pause in the wedding planning and now I’m getting all excited about it again. And its still 13 months away. Whew. Lots to do before then!
One of my friends that has been my friend since before I can remember is getting married in four weeks. I was in preschool with A. and was in the same class all the way through college. I’m really excited for her wedding. I get to see lots of old friends and some of my family will be there as well. It will also be at my church and her reception site is close to mine. As my mother said, “Boy, it sure is nice of A. to do a trial run for us!”
Next thing I want to start doing is registering and making a wish list thingamajig. Wow. Thingamajig is actually in my spell check. I’m amazed. So is doodad and thingamabob. That is the coolest doohickey ever.
Goodnight!
