Change is happening in your life
Change is happening in your life, so go with the flow.As we sat at the lazy susan table at the Royal Palace, and fortunes were being dealt out via cookies, I thought to myself, “I hope mine is funny when I add the words ‘in bed’ to the end."
I don’t take these things too seriously, as I’m sure you’ve gathered.
But when I opened my cookie, I couldn’t believe that the fortune cookie gods, or whomever it is that decides who gets what fortune, had gotten it so right.
Change is happening in your life, so go with the flow.
How could this be so RIGHT ON? As DF (Dear Fiance) says, “It wasn’t a good chance, considering those things are mass produced by the thousands…but 80% of people could open that fortune and think the same thing you are.”
Well, talk about deflating MY balloon. Oh well, I’m over it.
Because I have so much more exciting stuff to talk about today!!
I spent the weekend meeting fantastic people who I already knew in another sense. I knew their “online” personas, but meeting the real thing was so much better.
To start out the weekend, I drove to Spritopias’s place and hung out there while he finished his day of work. Then, we went to meet with a professor from college which I’ll talk more about later. After that, we went to pick up Suburban Island from the airport and headed to New Haven where several other diarists were awaiting our arrival.
My recounting of the details will not be nearly as interesting as others so I won’t bore you with the 9th account of the same thing, but I will say this.
While those in attendance probably thought that I am painfully shy, this is not the case. I had a great time taking in everything that was going on around me, seeing how their personalities online fit into their real-life. When I participate in a conversation I want what I say to be something worth mentioning, and I had so much fun hearing what everyone else had to say!
I’m not a shy person, I’m a quiet person. Believe it or not, I’m more extroverted than Christopias!
EVERYONE I met was a fantastic and unique person and my life is enriched for having met all of them in person!
