Today IS a Good Friday, in many ways. Tonight I will be going to church, I have a "monologue" in which I am "The other Mary" and it should be interesting since my name really IS Mary, to hear the chuckles from what I have to say. Good thing I don't have to memorize it, I've never been good at that!Today is my second day off of school and the second day of my clean sweep. So far I have thrown out four bags of garbage, accumulated five garbage bags of clothes I no longer want or no longer fit. (yay!) and 4 bags of paper recyclables full of college papers and other stuff. It feels good to rid myself of all that stuff, but I still have so much to do!
I'm also trying to mentally prepare myself for an interview on Tuesday. This is so far my only nibble in Kansas City and if I don't get it I might as well start making plans to move back to my parents. That being said, I don't want the job if it is not going to suit me. From what I've heard so far, its right up my alley, though.
Going through my college papers, I discovered tons of my writing. I was an English concentration (not quite a minor) in college and took several lit courses. I'm excited to be able to meet with one of my professors in a few weeks! I think I learned the most in her classes. She was tough, but clear in expectations and empowered me to do some of my best writing. I did a project on peotic reactions to world wars I and II pre 9-11 and the Iraq War and its really interesting to see how different my reactions would be now.
Well, I better get back to work! Crystal, if you are reading this, welcome!! :-)
