61. I try to go to bed at 10:00 every weeknight. “Try” is the operative word here.

I found out one was married after our date. I have a suspicion others may have been. They were business travelers. I was very naïve at the time. Very.
85. I feel cheated that I was unable to have a close relationship with my grandparents. My maternal grandparents died when I was young (5 and 10) and my paternal grandparents were old strict Germans. Not exactly the loving grandparent type, although I loved them and I know they loved me.

I cried when I was pulled over for the warning,- not to get out of the ticket, but because I was on my way back to college after my grandfather’s funeral and it was just one more bad thing to deal with. The officer wanted to give me a hug, I could tell. He was so sweet.

92. I found out when I was 18 that my paternal grandmother was pregnant when she married my grandfather. I also found out when I was 24 that she tried to leave my grandfather by walking down our long country road. He never went after her, she always turned around.
93. I have a step-grandmother on my mom’s side that I call “Evil Stepgrandma” but she’s really not. She just speaks her mind no matter who it offends. She married my mom’s dad when I was 7. I’ve known her longer that most of my biological grandparents. Wow. I just realized how sad that is.
